'Joe Buck, you ride a very high horse!--Christy M. McDonald
* Joe Buck, Todd Jones, Ken Rosenthal: Call Jose Canseco whatever you want, but it is disingenuous of you to dismiss him. Here is a guy who was at the epicenter of baseball's steroid controversy, and the best you can come up with is to say he lacks credibility? He has enough credibility for those of us living in the real world. News flash: When the feds want to break up a drug ring, they go after insiders, right? Why shouldn't baseball do the same? You sound like enablers.
--John Mitchell, Bowie, Md.
* Joe Buck (TNS, March 11) says that Jose Canseco is trying to destroy baseball. What a crock. Baseball can destroy itself without Canseco. Thanks to payroll imbalance, baseball is already a mess.--Michael Gastman, St. Louis
* I've enjoyed reading Todd Jones' columns, but his take (TSN, March 4) on Jose Canseco is all wet. Canseco is hardly the first baseball player to air dirty laundry, and he won't be the last. As for my uncle airing my family's laundry, that's unlikely to happen because absolutely no one outside my family would care. That's the difference between Jones' (baseball) family and mine: His is in the public eye; mine is not. Get real, Todd, and visit the laundromat while you're at it.--Alan Mazzei, Scranton, Pa.
* NASCAR and its fan-friendly "hicks" make up the fastest-growing spectator sport in the country. It proves you don't need performance-enhancing drugs (MLB), labor disputes (NHL) or trash talking (NFL and NBA) to be America's pastime.--Bruce Edwards, Ossining, N.Y
