1 The NFL. Your favorite team might be in trouble if ... every time your G.M. talks about spending cap money on "street free agents" he adds, "if you know what I mean, and I think you do."

2 Yankees at Red Sox. Have you ever heard of a ring presentation that was so coldly calculated for maximum effect? OK, not counting Kobe, that is.

3 The Frozen Four. Imagine my disappointment. I tuned in and got college hockey when I was expecting an expose of the Rockies' rotation.

4 The Clippers and Lakers. Such a disappointing outcome in L.A. despite a huge amount of money spent. On the bright side, there won't be a "director's cut" issued in six months.

5 Spring games. College football programs are turning them into fanfests and athletic department garage sales. In fact, I was in Lincoln and got a great deal on a game-used QB.
