Snapshot with Reggie Bush
Sporting News, The, April 21, 2006
After Bush's knockout performance at USC'S pro day, his star is as hot as ever, But there's more to the draft's likely top pick than the 4.33 40 and 40 1/2-inch vertical he displayed for scouts.
Favorite moment as a college player: Winning the national championship. Both of them.
Opponents would say the best thing I do is: Cut back across the field.
I'm better than most running backs because of: My hard work ethic.
Part of my game that will need the most work in the NFL: I don't know if I want to say it. Pass blocking, I would think. It's a different level in the pros.

The biggest challenge I'll face in making the transition to the NFL: The mental aspect of the game. A lot of people would say the guys are bigger, stronger and faster, but I would think it's more of the mental stuff. You don't have to be the biggest, strongest guy to be the best.
My favorite play: The most exciting play is returning punts and kicks. It's not a set play. You get a chance to catch the ball and make them miss, and I feel like that's what I do best.
My college stats fail to show: How big my heart is. It's huge, tremendous. Biggest of the biggest.
The NFL player I am most like: I'm not like anyone, but Brian Westbrook is used in similar ways to me--the way the Eagles allow him to return punts, kicks, run the ball, catch the ball out of the backfield and play receiver sometimes. But I wouldn't say I'm like him; we're two different people.
The kind of offense I fit best in: Any team that uses me in the same way I was used at USC would be the best fit.
