The Buccaneers have moved Jermaine Phillips from free safety to strong safety to accommodate the signing of Dexter Jackson. In his new role, Phillips will be responsible for filling the box in run defense and blitzing in pass defense. He's a good fit for both duties. Phillips delivers a wallop as a tackler and has the straight-line speed to make an impact as a blitzer.
