Q: Can you ever be too active in picking up free agents?
Yes. The more moves you make, the greater chance you have of giving up on a player too early. It's OK to improve your team with free agents, but you can get in trouble when you make moves just to beat the other guy to the punch.--George Winkler
No. Vigilance in the free-agent market should be viewed as the path of least resistance to helping your team. Instead of pulling your hair out trying to make a trade, you potentially can improve your team just as much by preying on other teams' drops.--Roger Kuznia

Get a life. Active owners tend to be winning owners. That doesn't prevent them from being losers, and I'm not talking fantasy anymore. Hello, reality! If you're online at 3 a.m. breaking down stat splits for major league bench players, you are one sick puppy.--Rob Hurtt
