* Joe Marciano (TSN, June 24) is a true class act. His selfless approach to raising a child with autism should be reviewed at every preseason camp to show there is more to sports than the game-there is family, love and life!--Tom Kapelewski, Bloomsburg, Pa.

* The June 24 issue was one of my favorites this year. There were many articles worth commenting on. I got a kick out of Dave Kindred's "Deep Throat" column, and how moving was the article on Joe and Joseph Gabriel Marciano? I am not a NASCAR fan, but I also found the article on NASCAR fan appreciation days to be interesting. Maybe some of the other sports need to learn from such a day. They all have fan appreciation days, but it appears the way NASCAR does it is truly "hands on" for the fan.--Nick Trotta, Olney, Md.

* In Stan McNeal's enjoyable article about flip-offs (TSN, June 17), he showed some snobbishness when he said "a fan in the high-priced seats started acting like a bum in the bleachers. "Those who can't afford $50 seats are bums?--Addis Gutmann Jr., Seattle
