RE: IT'S HARD TO PICK JUST 5

Posted by vslyke

The top five reasons I want Bud Selig to go away:

1. Steroids. His handling of it has been pathetic.

2. Expansion. MLB did not need more teams.

3. The playoff system. It's broken--it seems to reward wild-card teams.

4. His mismanagement of the Expos.

5. Having his daughter run the Brewers was a conflict of interest.

RE: HEAR THE LIONS ROAR

Penn State can have a great season this fall. Look out for Anthony Morelli--he's the real deal. He has the tools, and he can heave it. With PSU's speed on the outside and some chemistry between him and the receivers, the team will be unstoppable.

RE: MLB'S 5 BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENTS

Posted by fragnoli

5. Red Sox. They have failed to capitalize on the Yankees' pitching woes and injuries.

4. Brewers. If you can't pitch and you can't field, you just can't win.

3. Angels. Not having a strong run producer to protect Vladimir Guerrero is like throwing Bud Selig into the middle of a steroids investigation: Not much is going to happen.

2. Braves. The team's biggest weakness has proved to be its inability to close out games.

1. Indians. Hmm, the recipe for disappointment: 1 cup lofty expectations, a surprise contender stealing wins and a poor personnel decision affecting your pitching staff.
