3 up, 3 down

UP
Matt Morris, SP, Giants. The strikeout was a big factor in Morris' revival (4-1, 2.86 ERA during his final seven first haft starts). He struck out nearly as many hitters in five June starts (28) as he did in his first 11 games (31).
Mike Napoli, C, Angels. A home run in his first major league at-bat was a sign of things to come. Napoli has gone from being an unheralded minor league catcher to fantasy starter in less than two months.
Freddy Sanchez, 3B, Pirates. He headed into the All-Star break second in the N.L. in batting average. His versatility--he plays second, third and shortstop--makes him handy for plugging holes in fantasy lineups.

Jose Contreras, SP, White Sox. Teams still can't beat him, but his run of bad starts in June (6.21 ERA over a six-game stretch) is worrisome.
Jim Edmonds, OF, Cardinals. Whether it was nagging injuries, age or simply a down season, something kept Edmonds from supplying his usual first half production. Don't expect a turnaround.
Morgan Ensberg, 3B, Astros. He has 19 home runs, but just one since June 4. He has had one multihit game since May 28.
