* Thank you for the informative article on Kyle Belier (TSN, July 1). New Ravens coordinator Jim Fassel has worked with John Elway and Kerry Collins and helped them succeed in the NFL I think he will help Boller reach his own level of success. -James Cleveland, Pembroke Pines, Fla.
* Lee Spencer is one of the few writers who recognize the talent pool is a little shallow in the Cup series (TSN, July 22). If the field were reduced from 43 to 30 starters, the quality of the drivers and sponsors would go way up. We might even see more racing and less wrecking!--Jim Russell, Albemarle, N.C.

* NASCAR should make Daytona the last race of the season. They call it the Super Bowl of NASCAR, but last 1 checked, the Super Bowl isn't played in Week 1. Putting Daytona last would make the final Chase race one that virtually anyone could win, adding even more drama to the championship.--John Enos, Rolling Meadows, Ill.
