Your turn

Sporting News, The, August 18, 2003 by Joe Buck

* Watch out, Barry Bonds! Maurice Clarett is giving chase as the most unlikable person in sports.

Matt Tallman, Santa Monica, Calif.

* The NFL fining Matt Millen is nothing but window dressing. Millen was singled out because the league can punish the Motor City Kitties without antagonizing a flagship franchise such as Dallas or San Francisco.

Ben Hom, Arlington, Va.

* What a surprise, Jason Sehorn is injured again. Hey, Jason, you could have at least waited until the preseason.

Fred Maye, Perrysburg, Ohio

* Marcus Vick is going to be a star at Virginia Tech, but the Hokies shouldn't start him this year. Ask Texas about replacing a proven starting quarterback with a stud underclassman who has famous bloodlines.

Ryan Lamb, Lake Isabella, Mich.

* Ken Holland says he had some "interesting conversations" on different trade proposals involving Curtis Joseph. Sounds to me like he has been talking to himself.

Leon Wray, Jacksonville

* Obnoxious Yankees front-runners and pretentious Red Sox fans whining about "the curse." On and on. The rest of America wishers neither team would make the playoffs.

Vincent Paterno, Westfield, N.J.,

* Mark Cuban didn't say he liked the Kobe Bryant case. He just said the truth: People who didn't know who Kobe was before this case sure know him now. Of course that will help NBA business.

Roger Rader, Dowagiac, Mich.

* Mark Cuban probably is right about the Kobe case and the NBA--which is precisely why I no longer watch it. The inmates in most prisons are better role models for kids.

Ken Bowman, Paducah, Ky.
