Expect Gordon to make a wonderful run: give up on Jeff Gordon? Not me

Sporting News, The, August 19, 2005 by Lee Spencer

Ontario native and 2003 Champ Car World Series champion Paul Tracy has been enlisted to entice both Canadian and open-wheel fans as he attempts to qualify for the GFS Marketplace 400 August 21 at Michigan International Speedway. Tracy is scheduled to test the No. 33 with Richard Childress Racing this week, and other Canadians might not be far behind. Patrick Carpentier's name has been mentioned as testing with a Busch Series team, and Pete Shepherd III, 19, is one of the finalists in the Roush Racing Gong Show--a competition for a full-time ride in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2006.
