Strikeouts relief

Sporting News, The,  August 26, 2005  by Jeff Boggis

StriKeouts relief

Strikeouts per innings pitched (KPIP) is an excellent
statistic for measuring a pitcher's strikeout efficiency. The
stat is especially helpful if you are in a fantasy league
with an innings limit and are looking for a way to
maximize your remaining innings and improve your
strikeouts. The best way to accomplish this goal is to carry
some middle relievers and/or make a trade for a premier
closer. Start your search for bullpen help at the top of the
KPIP heap.
