THIS WEEK'S SPOTLIGHT: OFFENSES

If you love offense, then you'll have to check out Florida. The Gators have the most explosive attack in the nation. And since the defense is retooling under new coordinator Jon Hoke, it's a good thing Steve Spurrier's attack is up to its typical Fun `n' Gun standards.

After an uneven first three seasons, Doug Johnson appears poised for a big senior season. He has plenty of weapons at his disposal, headed by emerging junior receiver Travis Taylor, a big target with speed, and tutoring back Earnest Graham, a redshirt freshman who reminds many of Emmitt Smith. Everything is held together by a big, veteran line that is looking for continuity after undergoing numerous lineup changes. The latest switch is at center, where injured Zac Zedalis has been replaced by Corey Yarbrough.

Heading into a showdown against Tennessee on Saturday, the Gators are averaging 565 yards per game. Against the Volunteers, it will be critical for the offense to click, as Tennessee figures to thrive against the still-developing Gators defense.
