1 The Chase. True story: I fell asleep during Saturday night's race at Richmond. When I woke up, it was over and I was totally out of it. On the bright side, now I know how Junior feels.

2 Pennant races. I've got a sneaking suspicion that poor pitching is going to be the Yankees' downfall, but that's probably being too hard on the Devil Rays' rotation.

3 The Eagles. Before you get too excited that they're speaking to each other again, you probably should know that McNabb's first words to 1.0. were: "Shut the *&^%$ up!"

4 Oklahoma football. There's a whiff of panic in the air in Norman. In fact, I hear the Sooner Superstore is pulling all Mack Brown pinatas from its shelves.

5 NHL training camps. I see that some will be closed to the public, which I assume is to get the players ready for regular-season crowds.
