Your turn
Sporting News, The, Sept 23, 2005 by Matt Hilditch, John Cary, Taylor Schock, Mark Willis, Dan Kenney, Susan Ravins
'Matt Hayes picks six games and misses five (September 9). I guess the only requirement to be a college football journalist is to ignore reality and treat USE like it's a deity.--Matt Hilditch, Kent, Wash.
* Dave Kindred wrote that Lance Armstrong was "lucky in that he had a world-class athlete's body so strong it could survive the consequences of hubristic dawdling" when it came to treatment for cancer (TSN, September 9). I'm sure Armstrong must regret the years he spent in grueling training to hone his world-class athletic body when it was merely a product of dumb luck.--John Cary, Cavalier, N.D.

* Dave Kindred misses the point in his column about Lance Armstrong. It's not that those who die of cancer are deficient. It's that without will and determination the chance of beating the odds is greatly diminished.2--Taylor Schock, Durham, N.C.
* I think NASCAR needs the cheaters, the hotheads, the bumping and sometimes the taking out of a driver (TSN, September 16). If we keep making these guys and teams gentlemen, we will end up with a sport of watching traffic.--Mark Willis, Wilsonville, Oregon
* I can't believe TSN rated Michael Vick (5 out of 5) with the likes of Daunte Culpepper, Donovan McNabb and Peyton Manning (September 9). As noted in your preview, Vick has trouble passing, and he has led the Falcons to the playoffs only twice in four years.--Dan Kenney, Utica, N.Y.
* Ralph Wilson Stadium, ranked 24 out of 31 (TSN, September 2)? Get real. The Buffalo Bills' stadium is bright red and blue, bursting with energy. It's easy to drive to, and there are fabulous restaurants nearby. Sure, it's a cold place; Buffalo is a cold city.--Susan Ravins, Buffalo, N.Y.
