Lee Suggs is just a good, old-fashioned, shoulder-square, make-one-move-and-slash-past-you kind of running back. Kevin Jones, his partner in Virginia Tech's backfield, is much more of a threat, if something isn't there, to reverse his field and get outside. The biggest thing that Oklahoma's speed on defense does is allow them to make plays when they are out of position.
They can run some things down because their secondary can fill so well. I saw a play where they were blocked completely up front, and their safety soared in from out of center field to make the tackle.... Bradlee Van Pelt is a tremendous competitor and the driving force behind Colorado State's offense. You wouldn't necessarily pick him for his whole skill package, but you want him on your team. I've seen him make some throws that NFL guys couldn't make; I've also seen him not be able to hit a wall with the ball. But when the game's on the line, he's going to take charge.... I don't think Texas A&M can decide on an offensive system. They sometimes do things completely different one week to the next. I think they're in the shadow of Texas, and they're trying to get out of it by getting a good quarterback. But when they were really good, they lined up and ran it down your throat.
