2. QB Jason White, Oklahoma. Back-to-back games against average secondaries (Texas Tech, Texas) could translate into big numbers for White.

3. QB Kyle Orton, Purdue. Expect another monster game against the weak Illinois defense this week to set up a showdown at Notre Dame an October 2.
Season stats: 616 passing yards, 9 TDs, 0 INTs.
4. QB Andrew Walter, Arizona State. The Sun Devils begin conference play against Oregon State, which has the Pac-10's best secondary.
