Sporting News, The,  Sept 30, 2005  by Dillon White,  Michael Wilson,  Jay Butler,  Mike Watson

'I'm a high school senior, and coming home every Thursday to find a new issue of your magazine is a perfect escape from the hell I call homework. Reading about the BoSox sure beats calculus!'--Dillon White, Bethesda, Md.

* I was shocked to see that Willis McGahee was not ranked among your top 100 NFL players (TSN, September 16). At the very least, he should have been put in the "Give 'em another year" category. What a glaring omission. --Michael Wilson, Buffalo

* Instead of worrying about how to tweak the rules to get the big names into the Chase for the Championship, NASCAR should have been thinking of ways to market the drivers who actually had seasons good enough to make it there. Let's focus on who is there instead of who isn't.--Jay Butler, Columbus Air Force Base, Miss.

* In Todd Jones' joke of a column (TSN, September 16), he complains about having to share a stadium with the Dolphins. The field was built for the Dolphins, named for the Dolphins and paid for by Dolphins fans. If I wanted to hear that kind of whining, I'd go hang out at a day care center.--Mike Watson, Fort Worth, Texas
