How to deal with agents

You can try to avoid them all you like, but you still end up running into them, somehow, some way.
A lot of times, they'll say they are in town to see other players and might end up calling you. Most agents talk to each other to get feedback so they can have as much insight as possible when they approach a player. I talk to some of them so I don't have to duck them all the time. I tell them it might be better if we talk later, at the end of the season.
The agents typically initiate the contact. There are a lot of agents who represent former Virginia Tech players, and they get my number from them. Once they get the number, they give it to another agent. They all work together,

I met a lot of agents when I went to the Playboy All-American event. They had their runners out there to approach you and shoot you the deal or tell you who they work for. They try to get you to set up a meeting with the agent. My position coach told me this is something I have to go through. It's like getting recruited all over again. He said he'll go to meetings with agents with me if I want him there.
It's like everything-it has its ups and downs. If someone keeps calling that you don't want to deal with, it gets old and you get fed up with it
