He plays the ball really well. Even though he's not really fast, he's a damn good player. He has great feet, is quick and breaks on the ball well. If he has to play a guy one-on-one, that's a problem for him. But if he can run around and break on the ball, he's great.... Clemson QB Charlie Whitehurst looks better this season, and the main reason is that new coordinator Rob Spence has done a good job. He has brought running the football back to Clemson. They haven't done it in the past few years. Their line is a lot more physical, and they have never been a physical, smash-mouth team under Tommy Bowden. They are now. And they're doing things with Charlie better. It's not all about the vertical passing game. They're running three-step drops and more screens.... Syracuse is going to be just fine. They're well-coached and have great schemes. Offensively, they're doing a lot of what the Denver Broncos do. On defense, they can really cause problems for your protection schemes by putting eight men in the box and making you identify who's coming on the blitz.
