The best short-yardage runners
Sporting News, The, Oct 25, 2004

The numbers speak for themselves. This season, Holmes has converted all five of his runs on third-and-1 or third-and-2 into first downs or touchdowns. Last year, he had 11 touchdowns on runs of 1 or 2 yards. Holmes also has perfected the goal-line leap, giving him leverage against bigger, more powerful defenders.
