Fearless forecast
Sporting News, The, Nov 18, 2005
New England at Miami. The Dolphins will have success running with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams, but their passing game and defense will let them down. The Patriots will make fewer mistakes, and Bill Belichick will get the better of coaching protege Nick Saban. Prediction: Patriots 23, Dolphins 16.
Denver at Oakland. Look for the Broncos' running game to roll after an open week, which will help Jake Plummer continue to play a hot hand in the passing game. The Raiders have a balanced offense behind Kerry Collins and LaMont Jordan, but Denver's daunting defense will make it difficult for them to stage a comeback. Prediction: Broncos 27, Raiders 20.

Washington at Tampa Bay. Both teams will have trouble moving the ball, which means the team that forces more takeaways with its speed and aggressiveness will win in a physical, low-scoring matchup. Sawy playmakers such as Derrick Brooks give the Bucs the edge. Prediction: Buccaneers 17, Redskins 13.
Dallas at Philadelphia. Energized by hosting a Monday night game, the Eagles will exact some prime-time revenge against the team that routed them in Week 5. They'll do it with better-timed blitzes on Drew Bledsoe and a quick-hitting, conservative passing game that will help them control the ball and the clock late. Prediction: Eagles 24, Cowboys 21.--Vinnie Iyer
