INSIDE THE TOP 25

LSU Auburn's 9-0 win over Alabama last weekend erased the Tigers' hopes of advancing to the SEC championship game. But that doesn't mean they don't have something to play for. A win in the regular-season finale at Arkansas would extend LSU's SEC win streak to five, matching their longest string since 1988. It also would assure the team a share of the West Division tree. QB Josh Booty, having regained the starting job, has broken out--finally. In leading the Tigers to their last four wins, Booty has completed 73 of 132 passes for 1,036 yards and 10 touchdowns.

OUTSIDE THE TOP 25

Boise State When the Vandals blew out archrival Idaho last weekend, 66-24, they were playing their last Big West game. They'll move into the WAC next season. This season, they have the best offense you've never heard of. QB Bart Hendricks is at the helm of the nation's fourth-best passing offense, averaging 321.5 yards. He has thrown for 35 touchdowns and 3,364 yards this season. RB Brock Forsey contributes an average of 183 all-purpose yards each game. And Boise State's 496.27 yards per game rank second nationally--just behind Florida State.
