2. Syracuse (4-0) 2

3. Oklahoma State (1-0) 2

4. Kansas (1-0) -2

5. Georgia Tech (1-0) 1

SF Isma'il Muhammad's combination of athleticism and defensive desire make him an excellent fit in coach Paul Hewitt's system. Tech will need Muhammad's help on the glass this season, too.

6. Kentucky (1-0) 3

The addition of 6-11 Randolph Morris gives the Wildcats some needed size. His presence as a shot blocker will allow the team to extend its defensive pressure.

7. Illinois (1-0) 3

8. Arizona (2-0) 4

9. Duke (1-0)-1

10. Connecticut (1-0) 3

11. Pittsburgh (1-0) Even

12. Louisville (1-0) 2

13. Michigan State (1-0) 4

14. Mississippi State (4-1) -7

15. N.C. State (3-0) 7

SG Tony Bethel, a transfer from Georgetown, has taken some of the ballhandling and scoring pressure off PG Julius Hodge. Like Hodge, Bethel has been piling up the points, rebounds and assists.

16. Maryland (1-0) -1

17. Alabama (1-0) -1

18. Texas (1-0) Even

Texas has loads of size and talent, but the key will be how well Daniel Gibson runs the team. He's the jewel of a prized freshman class.

19. North Carolina (0-1) -16

20. Notre Dame (1-0) -1

21. Washington (1-0) 2

22. Memphis (3-1) 2

23. Stanford (1-0) -2

24. Gonzaga (1-0) -4

SF Adam Morrison provided instant offense off the bench as a freshman. Now, he must develop into a go-to player and leader for the new-look Zags. Morrison has one of the best midrange jumpers you'll find.

25. Florida (1-0) Even
