TSN's 12.5 Half the size, twice the sizzle

                                                      TV (all times
Rk. Team (last week) W-L Next up Eastern)

 1. USC (1) 11-0 UCLA, 12/3 4:30 p.m., ABC
You heard it here first: With a win, the Trojans will have a halfway
decent shot at a Rose Bowl bid.
 2. Texas (2) 11-0 vs. Colorado, 1 p.m., ABC
                                       12/3
Do you suppose a Big 12 North all-star team could give the Longhorns a
  game?
 3. Penn State (4) 10-1 TBD TBD
The tragic thing is, fans in State College flat don't care about
  football after hoops season starts.
 4. LSU (3) 10-1 vs. Georgia, 6 p.m., CBS
                                       12/3
Uh, Coach Miles? Your halftime speech probably shouldn't include the
final score of the USC game.
 5. Virginia Tech (6) 10-1 vs. Florida 8 p.m., ABC
                                       State, 12/3
Fortunately, there's one critical difference between Miami and Florida
  State. Miami is good.
 6. Notre Dame (5) 9-2 TBD TBD
The Irish are going to a BCS game, and nobody's really complaining.
  Sniff. Sniff. Beautiful, ain't it?

 7. Auburn (7) 9-2 TBD TBD
Here's an interesting question: Would the Tigers rather be 10-1 but
  with a loss to Alabama?
 8. Ohio State (8) 9-2 TBD TBD
On the BCS fence? Please. The Buckeyes are all but in, so folks might
as well start dealing with it.
 9. Oregon (10) 10-1 TBD TBD
Ducks fans will bitch about not getting respect, and they'll have a
point. Oh, and it won't matter.
10. Miami (9) 9-2 TBD TBD
The Canes are like a riddle wrapped in an enigma inside one unholy dump
  of a stadium.
11. Georgia (11) 9-2 vs. LSU, 12/3 6 p.m., CBS
The Bulldogs can think of many millions of reasons a mini-upset of the
  Tigers would be sweet.
12. UCLA (12) 9-1 at USC, 12/3 4:30 p.m., ABC
It's finally here ... Although it's possible the Bruins haven't exactly
  been counting the moments.
12.5 Mark Mangino
Who knows, maybe Kansas will fire him anyway--but what a nice little
  comeback to bowl eligibility.
