DRAFT DISH

By War Room scouts

WR Larry Brackins (6-5,220) of Pearl River (Miss.) CC is big and fast with excellent athletic skills and terrific hands. But he has limited experience, having played only at the junior college level; his interviews and workouts will be critical. Right now, he looks like a late Day 1 selection. * There are durability concerns surrounding N.C. State RB T.A. McLendon. McLendon is tough, but his running style can be punishing; he was hampered by injuries in 2003. He stayed mostly healthy in '04, but his numbers dropped in the second half of the season. Still, he's an effective power back and should be a Day 1 pick. * Nebraska C Richie Incognito's temper might cost him. Incognito is strong, quick and mobile, and he also could play guard. But he was suspended by Nebraska this past season and then withdrew from the school. He once was a potential Day 1 selection, but his troubles likely will push him to Day 2. * Notre Dame pass-rushing DE Justin Tuck (6-5, 246) is tall and a bit lean-looking, but he's very strong and quick. He is a leader and was voted MVP by his teammates. He needs some bulk and technique work, but he has a huge upside. He could be selected from the early to middle part of Day 1. * Oklahoma S Brodney Pool (6-3, 198) is a big, fast playmaker and a very good tackler, though he needs to become more physical. He's still developing and improving. He could go as early as Round 2. * Temple QB Walter Washington is a standout athlete who seems more of a runner than a quarterback. He needs work on his technique and skills, but he can throw. He would benefit from another year in college, but he'll be a tempting project and should be selected on Day 2.
