Charlotte coach Bobby Lutz is known for his ability to change defenses, but he had nothing in his bag to stop Winston. With his 33-point, 10-rebound performance in Alabama's three-overtime victory at Charlotte, Winston averaged 27 points and 10 rebounds for the week and shot 47.1 percent from 3-point range.

He played 53 of the 55 minutes against the 49ers. He made the decisive jumper with 20 seconds left, nearly as happy to end the game as to lift the Crimson Tide to 6-1.
