Dan Dickau, Gonzaga

He has shown that a point guard can be a prolific scorer without neglecting his responsibility to run the offense. He declines to force shots when not getting clear looks at the basket; he had seven or fewer 3-point attempts in five of his seven poorest shooting games. (He averages 13.3 shots a game.) Dickau has scored 25 or more points five times--including a 39-point effort in a comeback win over Portland last Saturday--and only once in the five did he fail to pass for at least five assists. Gonzaga was 5-0 in those games.
