* Refusing to give in to unrelenting pressure to race the big brown truck, Dale Jarrett hangs up his helmet and bolts for the PGA Tour (he is a good golfer). After he fails to secure his Tour card, an embarrassed Jarrett returns to Winston Cup in the truck. Wind-tunnel numbers suggest a slight aerodynamics disadvantage, but Jarrett posts a surprising win in his first race back.
