The Phillies still are waiting for LF Pat Burrell to repeat his big 2002 season and are growing increasingly frustrated with his occasional all-or-nothing approach at the plate.... Marlins RF Juan Encarnacion is an elite defender: he's surehanded and has a powerful throwing arm. The biggest question regarding Encarnacion entering 2005 is how well he has recovered from surgery on his left (non-throwing) shoulder.... The Rockies believe RF Dustan Mohr will hit enough long fly balls, particularly in Coors Field, to put up the power numbers he had in the minor leagues with the Twins organization but has yet to produce in the majors.... Xavier Nady will be a key reserve for the Padres, providing righthanded power off the bench and spelling LF Ryan Klesko and RF Brian Giles. both lefthanded batters.
