Friends in high places

Sporting News, The, Feb 18, 2002 by Ervin Griffin

Matt Hayes' article on Florida's hiring of Ron Zook (TSN, February 4) is another example of affirmative action in reverse. Zook's main qualification was being a close friend of A.D. Jeremy Foley. I suppose qualified coaches of all colors should spend more time making friends with the right athletic administrators instead of building quality resumes.
