What might have been the biggest week for LSU basketball in five years largely was the work of Bass. The sophomore blew away NCAA contenders Mississippi State and Florida with an average of 24.0 points and 11.0 rebounds. He shot 71.4 percent from the field in those wins, which could be the difference-makers in LSU's pursuit of an NCAA Tournament bid.
