Siena women 81, Vermont women 76: Siena (3-0) stunned Vermont (1-2), which had a 53-game, regular-season winning streak snapped by Connecticut last Tuesday. For Siena, Lisa Serafino scored all of her 12 points in succession in the second half and Lisa Lops provided a steal and four foul shots in the final 24 seconds. Sheri Turnbull scored 19 for Vermont.
Vermont 91, Marist 88: Vermont's Eddie Benton scored 31 of his 37 point in the second half, but Marist's Izett Buchanan countered with 26 of his 35. Marist (1-2) led, 54-39, lost it, reegained a 68-61 advantage, and came up short when Buchanan's 3-pointer with 3 seconds remaining bounced off the rim. George Roberson scored 23 for Vermont (3-1).
Siena 91, Holy Cross 73: Senior guard Doremuss Bennerman scored 28 points and had 9 assists for Siena (3-1), more than offsetting Rob Feaster's 31 points for Holy Cross (1-1). Brian Bidlingmyer had 19 points and 8 rebounds for Holy Cross.
