Sporting News, The, Dec 8, 1997 by Bob Benner
What may be harder to resurrect is the aura Indiana once had. But the I Hoosiers are aiming high, eager to show the the world their game is not as antiquated as their striped, candy-cane warmup pants and that their coach--and his system--still can contend at the highest level.
"We're looking at the Big fen championship, the Big Ten tournament championship, a Final Four appearance, a national championship," Guyton says. "It's within reach. With concentration and a little luck, we'll be there."
If they are, Knight once again will have proven his genius. If not, stay close to the phone, Steve Alford. It could ring at any time.
