Alex Bilanow, 77, a Washington-based journalist and railroad public relations specialist, died Dec. 5 at his home in Bethesda, Md. He worked for the United States Railway Association when that agency was in the process of creating Conrail, For 10 years prior to his retirement in 1998, he represented TTX Co.
