BNSF Railway has named Roger Nober EVP-law and secretary, taking over such duties from Jeff Moreland, who becomes EVP-public affairs. Nober, who served as Surface Transportation Board chairman (2002-2005), was most recently partner at the Washington, D.C. office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. Prior to joining STB, he was counselor to the deputy secretary of transportation, and chief counsel for the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the U.S.
House of Representatives. Moreland now will be responsible for federal and state government relations, corporate communications, and economic regulatory policy.
