Clarification - Correction Notice

In November, Railway Age published "The role of specialty con tractors" (pp. 20-21) in the "Rail Updates" section. The sand gantry crane mentioned and illustrated in the article was erected and commissioned by Macton Corp. in Commerce, Calif., under contract to Union Pacific. Coleman Construction was the general contractor on-site, responsible for the supply and erection of the sand storage tower, and air supply to operate the system, as well as the foundation and crane running rails.
The sand crane was originally manufactured by the AT Moeller Corp., which Macton acquired in 2000. It was erected in a UP service terminal in Kansas City before 2000. It was erected in a UP service terminal in Kansas City
