New power for railrunner service
Railway Age, Feb, 2005
The Mid-Region Council of Governments (Albuquerque, N.M.) will take delivery later this year on five MPXpress[R] MP36PH-3S diesel-electric commuter rail locomotives from Wabtec subsidiary MotivePower Industries for use in its new RailRunner service. The $12.7 million contract includes provisions for spare parts and training.
The locomotives are similar to those supplied for Chicago's Metra and San Francisco's Caltrain.
