Ttx Orders Rise To $556 Million - TTX Co. orders equipment to support railroads - Brief Article

TTX Co. now has $556 million worth of equipment on order for delivery in 1999. New orders totaling $173 million, announced last month, will add more than 2,600 autorack and other specialized flatcars to the TTX fleet. TTX President and CEO Raymond Burton said these acquisitions "underscore our commitment to support the railroad industry's efforts to provide additional capacity to serve the needs of the automotive industry as well as manufacturers of steel products, heavy gauge pipe, and power generation systems."
