TTX - TTX Corp contracts for new rail cars - Brief Article
Railway Age, March, 1999
Placed orders for 2,000 89-foot standard level flatcars for multi-level autorack service, 600 89-foot, 100-ton capacity flatcars for the steel and pipe market, and 211 heavy duty flatcars with capacities ranging from 220 to 370 tons for moving heavy machinery. The orders are shared by Trenton Works Ltd., Johnstown America, National Steel Car, Trinity Industries, and Kasgro Rail Corp.
Six of the heavy duty flats will be built by TTX's Hamburg Division at North Augusta, S.C.
