WWW.RAILWAYAGE.COM - Railway Age's new web site - Brief Article

Railway Age, March, 1999

Railway Age's new web site, www.railwayage.com, is the first piece of what will eventually become a comprehensive Simmons-Boardman Rail Group web site encompassing the division's three magazines--Railway Age, Railway Track & Structures, and International Railway Journal--and Simmons-Boardman Books and the Railway Educational Bureau.

The web site features selected content from the current issue of Railway Age, which is updated monthly, plus an "Industry News" page that is continually updated with breaking news stories. An "Industry Links" page provides direct hot links to the web sites of Class I railroads, short lines and regionals, passenger railroads and transit agencies, railway industry trade associations, government entities, and other sources of railway business information. Other pages feature general information on the magazine, including editorial staff profiles, advertising rates and specifications, an editorial calendar, and a preview of upcoming feature stories.

Classified, professional, and employment advertising space is available on the web site. For information, contact Brigitte Timmerman at (402) 449-1676.

Notes Simmons-Boardman Rail Group Publisher Robert P. DeMarco, "The Simmons-Boardman Rail Group is the world's largest provider of railway information. When all the pieces of our web site are in place, we'll be the largest Internet source of railway information."
