Old-style incandescent bulbs, roundels, and mountings can be easily replaced in an existing light head with the economical Sectional LED flashing light unit from the Lincoln Industries Division of Progress Rail Services. Offered as a finished signal assembly or as a retrofit replacement unit, the Sectional LED unit has multiple sections, each having its own individual power supply Unlike other LED lights, where if the power supply or regulator is damaged the entire light must be replaced, with the Sectional LED, only the defective section must be removed.
This design ensures safety, according to the manufacturer, since 75% of the light will continue to work.
