WMATA's Planning and Development Committee has recommended award of a S217 million contract to the joint venture of Lane/Granite/Slattery Skanska, Inc., to help complete the 3.1-mile Blue Line extension to Largo, Md. The contract covers construction of at-grade, open cut, and underground segments of the line and related facilities.
