Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad (RBMN) has promoted Wayne Michel to president. Michel, a 26-year industry veteran, served most recently as EVP, responsible for day-to-day operations. He began his career at the Interstate Commerce Commission, ending his tenure there as senior policy attorney-Rail Division.
Michel moved on to Conrail, where he managed the industrial development department, among other roles, and helped develop the EXPRESS program. When Conrail split in 1999, Michel became an industry consultant, and later joined RBMN.
