CP appoints U.S. network chief - Rail Update - Mike T. Waites - Brief Article

Canadian Pacific appointed Mike T. Waites to the new position of chief executive officer of the railway's U.S. network. Waites assumes his new role in addition to his current position as executive vice president and chief financial officer of CP. As CEO of the U.S. network, Waites will "develop and implement strategies to improve the performance of CP's extensive rail operations in the midwestern and northeastern U.S.
These strategies will include strengthening connections with other carriers to improve interline service to shippers and expand CP's market reach." Waites joined CP in 1997 as vice president and comptroller.
