Abrasion assembly - Products
Railway Age, May, 2003
Pandrol USA, LP offers a two-part assembly designed to control rail seat abrasion on new concrete ties. The patented system consists of a tough, abrasion-resistant, plastic bottom plate and a durable, resilient, rail seat pad. The interlocking plate and pad are pre-assembled without the use of glue or tape and arrive at the job site as a single unit. The system is designed to seal out sand, dirt, and water from the rail seat. Studs, which are an integral part of the plastic plate and pad, resist movement in track. A saddle version of the system is also available for deep rail seat abrasion repair.
