German Rail - Briefs: Germany - ordering new trains from a consortium headed by Siemens - Brief Article

German Rail announced that it has ordered 28 seven-car, second-generation ICET trains from a consortium led by Siemens and including Bombardier Transportation and Alstom. The order is valued at around $380 million. The new, 143-mph tilting electric trains will supplement a fleet of 43 first-generation trains; there will he no major design changes.
