Alcatel has been awarded a $35 million contract by the Dutch government to install European Train Control System (ETOS) Level 2 train control and interlocking equipment on the new Zuid high speed rail line between Amsterdam and the Belgian border, which will open in 2007. Alcatel will install its interoperable 6413 AlTrac/ETCS technology.
