Wastewater Processing - Products
Railway Age, August, 2002
The MART Corporation manufactures proprietary Environmental Processing Equipment known as the EQ-1 Wastewater Processing System. The EQ-1 will treat almost every wastewater stream for less than 20 cents per gallon. This will reduce wastewater cost and allow utilization of resources where most needed. The EQ-1 reduces aqueous waste volume by 90%, total waste volume to less than 10%, and reclaims up to 85% of active chemical for reuse in the process. It reuses the clarified solution in the cleaning process, which lowers soap costs, and it is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. military.
The EQ-1 decreases processing/disposal costs by at least 50%. It meets all discharge parameters to allow the solution to go to a sanitary sewer or POTW, and encapsulated solid waste will meet TCLP. It encapsulates waste products for safe disposal in a sanitary landfill, reduces disposal costs for waste and effluent, and lowers generator status to small quantity in most cases as one EQ-1 system can process multiple waste streams.
