Long-travel side bearings
Railway Age, August, 2004
Since 1991, Miner Enterprises has supplied more than 700,000 long-travel side bearings to the railroad industry. Most recently, it has developed long-travel models to fit into double roller and block style cages. The TCC-45 LTR and TCC-60 LTR (pictured) come in two preloads and fit into a standard double roller cage. Also long-travel, its TCC-45 LTLP version fits into either weld-on or cast-in low-profile block cages. All three will provide the existing fleet with the same long-travel benefits as long-travel constant contact side bearings, but minimize financial impact, according to Miner.
